I am getting freaking TWITCHY with no shows...we leave tomorrow morning for almost a week in Tampa watching everyone ELSE show their horses...I am bringing my shihtzu and some work, and just kick back but it makes me nuts when I see obvious mistakes and horses getting ridden wrong...This is Caitlin's chance to shine with her kids (did I mention it is the state 4H show?) If either Carra or Amanda make top numbers, we are going to Virginia, hauling Truman and Brooke up for them...Caitlin reminded me today that I will not be taking Cleo this year...for the last two years the big girl has accompanied us to the Southern Regionals and was a huge favorite. At least I got to ride. Not this year. Maybe I should stay home. It will be LATE September before I get to show again...Gotta get my butt to the world shows...I can do it!!!

I Can Do It

Are you back from the show? How did it go? I am busy designing show shirts for my neices that come up next week for two weeks of lessons before Fair. I have a show is September. My first of actually showing in a while (since my mom passed) and am getting oh, so excited.

Trainer got back from the world show, happy as can be with the performance and placings. Said the Jr HUS was the toughtest she has ever seen. She was 5th and happy with that. There was a big exhibitors meeting and attempted coup type angry mob at some of the judging i guess. Mostly the Western Riding and other actual scored events. I guess it was bad. She didn't go as she wants to stay out of that mess, but had some good points about APHA growing too fast and pricing people out of showing, then wondering why no one is showing and things are all messed up. Lots of people threatening to go Pinto, but like she said, after they screw up Pinto, where do they go from there? Why not try to fix APHA? I don't know what the plan should be...I was there when AQHA when sour and unhappy, and I love Paints so don't plan to go anywhere, but I hate to see normal folk like me struggling to get in a class or two and not placing because we haven't had the exposure that the ridiculously rich can have all over the country. And I will never have three horses to show at the same time that specialize in different events. I think I will never again get the chance to ride in a WP class, not with the big ol' strided, can't jog a lick horses I own and breed now.

I agree, that animation is hilarious. ^^
